Mount Washington Avalanche Center

A small cabin pressed up into the stunted trees below Tuckerman Ravine is where these guys spend everyday from December 1 to May 31st. Watching, hiking, digging, discussing and analyzing the every aspect of the weather, snow and terrain. It’s a full-full-time job, beepers, cell phone the whole nine yards. Here’s a short interview with Chris Joosen providing a brief overview of what goes on during the winter months high up on Mount Washington.
