Environmental Portraits, from climbing guides to craftsmen. Across the board they all have an incredible passion for what they do. One of the most difficult parts of photographing such passion is to get them to stop talking about what they do. Most artisans, craftsmen, guides or athlete are so immersed in their world when given the chance to talk about it and explain it they can’t be stopped. Which is great to learn about all of these different worlds and details most people will never hear about or care about. To me it makes the photograph all that much better, taking that information and using it to build a more interesting and authentic portrait of that personality.
